"Invalid game type 'tf' sepecified" Please Help
Hello, Im running my gmod server on a linux (CentOS) and when i run the srcds_run file it says "ERROR: Invalid game type 'tf' sepecified.". Someone said "you have to run the file drom orangebox" but i couldnt find orangebox on linux please help!

[CSGO] Public IP problem
I just downloaded the CSGO Dedicated Server and host a game. Only problem, I'm the only one that can connect, my friends can't. That's because the IP is my local IP which is 192.168.100.19. This is not the IP address from whatismyip website.
So how do I change the IP to my real IP so everyone can connects?

Server working fine and public facing but not appearing on server list

I was hoping I could get a bit of troubleshooting tips from this forum. I spent the last while configuring a cs:go server and learned about port-forwarding and the like in order to get the server public facing.
Good news is the server is indeed public facing and can be accessed properly by all over the game UI.
Bad news is the server is not appearing on the master server list (Community server browser) and I was wondering if there was something I was missing.
The following steps were taken:
1. Installed srcds from steamcmd using app_update 740 validate
2. Ports opened on router:
tcp 27014-27050
udp 3478
udp 4379-4380
udp 27000-27030
udp 1200
udp 26901
udp 27031-27050
Some MAY be unnecessary but I'm also not willing to go to DMZ mode. It is a 2Wire router (pretty sure this may be the root issue). Also the local firewall is currently disabled so no interference is happening.
Public facing IP assigned in start server statement (Opposed to local).
StartServer.bat contents:
@echo off
cls
start /wait srcds.exe -game csgo -console -usercon +game_type 0 +game_mode 0 +mapgroup mg_active +map de_dust2 -tickrate 128 +net_public_adr xx.xx.xx.xxx -port 27015 -autoupdate
The server is starting fine.
Again to reiterate, I just need help getting the server on the master server list.

SRCDS (TF2) player list to external program
Hi! First time poster here.
I'm making me a small program and I'm wondering if there's any possibility to send the player list to an external program.
Having it update in real time (Obviously connected through some kind of socket or port) and stuff like that.
Basically having it send the Server info to another program, the same way you'd view it in steam with server IP, Player stats (name, ping, etc).

Attempt to host TF2 Server on VPS (Dedicated Cores)
Hi All,
I have a VPS with some extra resources on it, and thought I would try hosting a TF2 server. Yes I understand that you don't have a "dedicated" computer for your server to run on, but my host says I have two dedicated cores, which I thought would suffice being that my other specs are on par.
I have 2 cores ("Each core is equivalant to 2.5Ghz Intel Xeon or Better")
I have 3 GB of RAM allocated for me
30 GB allocated on a SSD
The VPS is also running CPanel, so I'm not sure how much of an impact that puts on things...while keeping an eye on it not much (no major traffic going to the few sites I have, maybe a visit or two a day).
While playing a TF2Center lobby on the VPS TF2 server, I kept an eye on the CPU usage as root. TF2 would consume about 40% (maybe upwards of high 40%'s during fights), and randomly would spike up to 97% cpu usage (regardless of what was going on during the game). It appears to be totally random, and not at any specific time (would make more sense on round end when it uploads stats possibly).
I am only running SM, MM:S, and TFTrue. I added a few normal stats plugins for SM, but they only really do bulk of the work at the end of games.
Does anyone have any insight? My thoughts are that processing power dedicated to me wouldn't be affected by anyone else on the same box. Should I try vanilla TF2 and see if I get better results?

cs go server up but not showing any signs of being able to connect

My server starts normally, it displays the normal messages. However, when i try to connect, the client fails after ten retries, and the server shows no signs of having received any kind of data from the client. I try to connect from the computer that runs the server, and from other computers in my lan. The server shows up in the browser, but still fails to connect. Any help would be appreciated. All my configs and stuff can be found in that guide

srcds closing within seconds of being launched, no error?
I've been trying to launch a fresh server off of my dedicated machine, and shortly after starting it, the srcds window just closes. I've also tried launching the server with seDirector, and it claims that the server "Crashed by closing". This issue exists with servers created by seDirector or by myself via SteamCMD. This is my info;

Processor: Intel Xeon E5-1620, clocked at 3.6GHz, 4 physical cores and 8 threads (hyperthreaded)

when the mani admin and the cssmatch are both installed and I start a match, my server is just crashing. It's very interesting.. The server is downloaded from SteamCMD, with newest mani admin plugin, and with cssmatch 2.2.4 ![Sad]( "Sad")

Greetings here is another announcememt in the interest of safer networking.
Back in August of 2012 I frequently was a member here and on a clan site hosting servers from valve software. I even was a supporting donor on their site, making financial contributions for their servers.
During that time I witnessed some rather obvious signatures of foul play being committed both in game and in their forums.
One day it was found that a member of the group had been banned for hacking.
I knew this person very well and had extensive conversations with him about What had happened. The administrators had run a demo recording of him during the session which was quite conclusive. Now it was well known that there were other members of this group, including administrators, whom were doing the very same thing. This event created a rift in the membership and other players began noticing similar activity. One day an individual whom had been identified as a hacker was suddenly banned and a very Conclusive demo was posted on the forums which showed the events.
It was a recording from the player perspective which showed an aimbot being utilized. The problems continued and what I found was that the laptop a friend had was also hacked. Each time he visited and we played online his system was being used to
Find the internal ip of my modem. About the same time I discovered that my account with the isp was also being used to connect wirelessly to their system access points. there were several individuals whom were getting free internet with the provider.
At the end if an extensive investigation by both myself and the provider "NUMEROUS " arrests were made.
The results of these investigations was then submitted to both Valve software and PayPal corporation by mail. It was about a month later when I became aware that several individuals showed up in the community were I lived and began shadowing me in my activities I watched and waited until the point were I had identified the sources of the new activity and once again Sat and watched several arrests being made.
Round three, now being completely frustrated with their failures they falsified a reporting to the police claiming I harassed one of their children, reported to retailers I was shoplifting, utilized cellular accounts and hardware to steal data and close two more bank accounts.
Lets see then their was the break in at my apartment were they stole prescription medications, then reported to both the police and my doctor that I was selling my prescriptions.
You would think that after all of this You would get the message. Let me spell it out again for you.
